Description
The Optimal Comprehensive Health Profile 2 is comprised of a Complete Blood Count (CBC), Comprehensive Metabolic Profile, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Liver Profile and Renal Profile.
The Complete Blood Count with Differential (CBC) screens for blood abnormalities including red and white blood cells, hemoglobin and platelets. The CBC is used as a screening test to check for possible disorders such as anemia, infection, and many other diseases.
The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) is a group of 14 tests that gives you doctor information about the current status of your kidneys, liver, and electrolyte and acid/base balance as well as of your blood sugar and blood proteins. The tests measured include Glucose, Calcium, Albumin, Total Protein, Sodium, Potassium, CO2, Chloride, BUN, Creatinine, ALP, ALT, AST, and Bilirubin.
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) level or TSH in blood is measured to diagnose thyroid disorders and to monitor treatment of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
Liver Function Profile is used to assess the function and dysfunction of the Liver. Tests include Alanine aminotransferase (ALT/SGPT), Albumin, Alkaline phosphatase, Aspartate aminotransferase (AST/SGOT), direct Bilirubin, total Bilirubin, and Total Protein.
Renal Function Profile is used in the diagnosis and management of illnesses and injuries causing changes in renal function. Patient Preparation: Patient should fast for 12 hours preceding collection of specimen. The tests that are measured are Albumin, BUN, BUN/Creatinine ratio, Calcium, CO2, Chloride, Creatinine, Glucose, Phosphorus, Potassium, and Sodium.
Lipid Profile is a group of tests that are often ordered together to determine risk of coronary heart disease. The tests that make up a lipid profile are tests that have been shown to be good indicators of whether someone is likely to have a heart attack or stroke caused by blockage of blood vessels (hardening of the arteries). The measured tests are Cholesterol, total; High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol; Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (calculation); Triglycerides; Very Low-Density Lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol (calculation).
Urinalysis is a group of tests performed to detect the presence of some possible substances in the blood in order to give a first alert for many possible problems. The urinalysis measures 11 chemistries in the urine. These chemistries include Protein, Glucose, Ketones, Hemoglobin, Urobilinogen, Leukocyte Esterase, Nitrite, ph, Specific Gravity, RBC’s, WBC’s.
